Updates and Reflections

So, been a while – sorry about that.

I’ve been working away making patterns for the Derby shoe, which will look a little like this Ralph Lauren one from Executive Style (not as fancy though probably).

I’ve also set up a Pinterest presence, as well as a Facebook one. Check them out if you like 🙂

This past week, I started on my first official assessment for my practical class, making a pattern for an Oxford shoe which is very similar to a Derby, but as you can see in the picture below, the section where the laces are attached is slightly different. Oxfords also have a toe cap. you can read more about oxfords here or here.

I haven’t got any pictures at the moment, but I took some time lapses of me working on stuff! Sadly, videos can’t be uploaded into a blog post, so keep an eye on the Facebook page linked above (or on the main page of the website) for those. These last few weeks have been really great, I’ll update when I’ve got something more to tell y’all.
